Der Business Talk Black Sea Region findet in Englischer Sprache statt!
The Chinese Belt and Road Initiative and the associated New Silk Road are enormous investment and infrastructure strategies of a historical dimension. Since October 2013, China has invested 421 billion USD into the 75 semiofficial silk road countries. Thereof, 112 billion USD have gone into the logistics and transport sector. Theoretically, the Silk Road Initiative is associated with a high potential for European enterprises. As it is still unclear to what degree they can finally benefit, skepticism prevails among many business representatives and European policymakers likewise. In their opinion, China will be the big and sole winner.
What are the Chinese interests in the Silk Road initiative? What is their attitude vis-à-vis Europe? What are the opportunities and risks for European enterprises? These are the guiding questions Prof.(FH) Dr. Andreas Breinbauer and Dr. Hannes Meissner will be discussing with David Morris, Chair of the United Nations Asia Pacific Business Forum 2019. As the Pacific Trade and Investment Commissioner in China, Mr. Morris is a leading international political adviser and business consultant with in-depth insights into Chinese policies.
